Cork Dork supports Westlake High School

The school year has begun which means football occupies our Friday nights! As the VP of Fundraising on the Football Booster Board, I’m extremely active in my kids’ school and work hard to find the support from our community for the school.  As a native and realtor to the Conejo Valley Area, specifically in the Westlake Village and Thousands Oaks area, I’m a huge fan supporting local small businesses that keep the charm in this community. With that said, I’m thrilled to say Cork Dork is one of our supporters!

Victoria Beyer Cork Dork Baba's Chicken

Cork Dork is a boutique wine bar in Oak Park, located in the Pavilion shopping center. They opened in May of 2021 after many attempts before and during the pandemic.  Local support is Cork Dork’s motto. They take pride in their relationships with local farmers and vintners to bring the best of sustainable meats, dairy and produce California has to offer. They have an immense variety of beers and wines. A couple of my favorite dishes are the Hanger Steak, the Baba’s Chicken and the Beignets! They change their menu once in a while to entice new customers and keep their regulars wanting more. This also gives the sous chefs opportunities to express their culinary creativity. I heard Baba’s Chicken is one dish that will always stay. Fridays and weekends are always full but making reservations is highly recommended.

Victoria Beyer Cork Dork Napa Technology

Their wine selection is impressive and they take it seriously. They offer flights so everyone can enjoy and try 2oz glasses of any of the 40 wine collections. They have a large wine aerator as they call the Napa Technology. It allows the wine to stay fresh longer once open and to serve the 2oz glasses. They also have draft beers from local breweries. For the champagne drinkers, there is a vending machine in the corner. They have something for everyone.

Both owners, Dan Margolis manager and Chef Danny Amirian are natives to the area, and this partnership is special as they both attended Westlake High School. After high school, they ventured out of the area pursuing careers in the food industry. Dan worked in several restaurants while Chef Danny studied abroad with renowned chefs.  As friends, they kept in touch and shared ideas. Then they found themselves back to Westlake Village to raise their families. Deep down they always knew Westlake Village was home.

I hope you get the chance to dine at Cork Dork. I would recommend this restaurant to the people in my network and my clients! Come support Cork Dork as they are supporting our community! Let me know if you have any questions about real estate in the Conejo Valley area or Cork Dork.
